# Connect ChatGPT to Tandem

ChatGPT connects to Tandem as a custom connector, with Tandem's views shown inline in the chat.

## Steps

1. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps & Connectors. Under Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode if your plan requires it for custom connectors.
2. Create a connector named Tandem with Tandem's MCP address and OAuth authentication.
3. Sign in to Tandem, pick a workspace and approve what ChatGPT may do.

## How it signs in

ChatGPT signs in with OAuth: it registers itself with Tandem, opens your browser, and you sign in, choose a workspace and approve what it may do (read, suggest, write, delete). It gets `crm:read` and `crm:write` unless you approve less. Disconnect it any time under **Agents** in Tandem.

## Try it

Ask ChatGPT: "Which Tandem workspace are you connected to, and what can you do there?" Then try "Add acme.com to Tandem with the details from its website."
